Thanks to Dave's new job at Anthem CC, we were able see Santa fly in on a helicopter this year! Not sure what Skylar thought was cooler, the helicopter or Santa! Here are a few pictures from the day & of daddy's beautiful new club....
This year we decided to bring Skylar to the Pulliam Christmas Party, she had so much fun playing with all the other kids, but most of all, she loved climbing the stairs! We all had such a great time we lost track of time & we didn't get home until 10pm....when we got home Skylar was still on a sugar high from Stephine's homemade gingerbread cookies....long story short, bedtime was not pretty:)....Steph, the cookies were delish! Thanks to the Pulliams, not only for putting together such a wonderful party, but for helping us remember what Christmas is all about....spending time with friends and family, being thankful for all we have, and giving back.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at auntie Rachel's house, which consisted of 2 turkeys (one roasted & one fried) and all the fixin's you can dream of! We were especially excited to see auntie Alex who made a quick trip from Reno to visit us for the weekend.
Watching Skylar play with her cousins make me realize why people say your second child is easier, Skylar is just so amused by them, look how excited she is to be sharing a seat w/Trevor...precious:) (Skylar, Trevor, Riley, & Lilly)
Rocking Horse with Nana
Uncle Tate & their new puppy Motley
Face first into the stuffing...but in Skylar's defense, her hands were full:)!
Sisters...and Lilly:)
A Merrill family tradition...picking out the tree on Thanksgiving weekend! I know what you're thinking, it will be good & dead by December 25th....but Skylar and I were so excited to decorate! Plus, we'll be celebrating out Christmas in Vegas early cause it's off to Colorado on the 24th.
Yup Daddy...that's the oneIt's hard not to get sappy this time of year and think about all the things we are so thankful for, and I have so many blessings...health, family, friends, my husband and my beautiful daughter. My life is perfectly complete because of all of you:)
by going on a family hike at Red Rock. Marley and Bailey loved the exercise & Marley even jumped in a few puddles! Skylar loved rock climbing with Daddy & we all enjoyed a nice little picnic after.
Celebrating Halloween came quite naturally for Skylar....she LOVES to dress up and she LOVES to collect things & carry them around the house (in her toy grocery cart or purse:). So boy was she stoked when we left the house in her costume & she got to carry around a bucket. She figured out quickly how much fun it was to fill that bucket. We'd stop at a house, and she'd get her candy, turn around take a few steps...then turn back around again for more candy...at the same house! It was too cute & such a great night!
Mom & Dad got to go on a quick vacation to San Francisco (our first vaca with out Skylar). We had a great time playing golf & touring around the city. We were like kids running around & trying to see everything in 2 days, it was a wonderful trip with my amazing husband, thanks Dave!:)
