Skylar and her Tutu

Obsession may not be enough to describe Skylars beloved tutu! So, of course, I have to blog about it! She would wear it every second of everyday if Mommy would let her....(notice it's falling apart). Maybe she's a prima ballerina in the making....like Angelina her favorite TV character:)...either way, she wears her tutu to dance class, she wears her tutu to twirl, play & to watch TV, she wears her tutu to make gingerbread houses (see above), and much to mommy's dismay, she even wears her tutu to the grocery store! And the obsession doesn't stop there...it continues to her ballerina slippers (which also have holes) LOL!

Pulliam Christmas Party!

Christmas just wouldn't be the same without the annual "Toys for Tots Pulliam Christmas Party". We had so much fun that we kept Skylar up WAY past her bedtime! Thanks for hosting another amazing party Ryan & Steph:)

Trains Helicopters & SANTA!

To help us get into the holiday spirit we were able to attend two fun events the past two weekends. In Boulder City we rode on the "Santa Train" and Santa & Mrs. Clause came to visit us in the box car! The kids were very excited, as you will see, Skylar couldn't even take her eyes off of Santa for a picture, Charleigh on the other hand slept the whole time.
We also were invited to the Anthem Santa Brunch by our good friends The Terrones'. There was great food, cookie decorating & Santa came in from the North Pole on a helicopter! How's that for arriving in style!:) Chase and Skylar had a great time horsing around together & waiting for Santa to arrive.

Skylar moves into a "big girl bed"!

I'd be lying if I said we weren't sad, our little Skylar is not a baby anymore. Honestly, I think the transition was harder for mommy & daddy than sky, we had the room all set up, and we were thinking....maybe in a few weeks or months she'd sleep in there! And Skylar said to Daddy before her nap one day "I want to sleep in that big bed"! Skylar loves her new room & loves her new bed!
It was definitely a DIY project. The bed was an old trundle/day bed from Nanas house that we spray painted silver, the bench was also from Nana's and we painted it white, and the dresser Dave found on craigslist for $60 & painted it....and I made the letters above her bed too! We think it turned out quite cute:)
Skylar's favorite past time is bringing a stack of books into her bed & reading. Currently her favorite books are Shaggy Little Pony, Just me and my Cousin, Just the way you are, and Dora Unicornio.

Charleigh Turns 4 Months!

Yes, our little Charleigh is already 4 months old! Charleigh continues to gain head support, and enjoys tummy time a little more these days. We think she may be teething already as she is always chewing on her hand, toy or a blanket. Charleigh loves to giggle, and coo, and is still the happiest baby.
This month Charleigh made her supermodel debut as a model for Thirsties Diapers. This reusable diaper company is owned by Dave's family & we are avid users for both girls. We love that they prevent diaper rash & are so soft on our babies bums....and as a bonus there are a few less diapers in our landfills.
Skylar is also growing so fast. She can sing her ABC's, count to 10, and can actually carry on a conversation with us. Her favorite thing right now is wearing her tutu and doing "twirls" to the "Angelina Ballerina" television show.
