Which means I skipped 8! Things have been crazy around here to say the least, so I am going to do a combo 8 and 9 month blog post for little miss Charleigh Rose:).
What a difference 2 months makes! 2 weeks after I posted at 7 months that I didn't think Charleigh would be crawling anytime soon...she did! She started crawling the day we left Las Vegas (I guess she couldn't stand not being able to get into all the paper and packing boxes everywhere!) Charleigh didn't go for the "traditional crawl" she took lessons from her friend Audrey instead and went for the "army crawl". It hasn't slowed her down though, she is quick (and into everything) on her elbows with her belly on the floor slithering around like a little snake:). Charleigh also waves and says "hiiii" (I swear she does!), and she loves to clap when we all say YAAAY!, which is so fun:) She babbles, mama, dada, and baba (but not to anyone or anything specifically).Charleigh has also been working on 4 new teeth! She had a "snaggle tooth" for a few weeks before the other three top teeth all came in at once, poor baby, 3 teeth coming in at once is tough, but she took it pretty well considering. With the new teeth came new foods to try, she loves rice cakes, cereal bars, and little pieces of bread and pasta.
Charleigh Rose has grown so much over the past two months it's hard to keep track of it all! Mommy misses those immobile days when all she wanted to do is sit on her lap. Nowadays she's happier on the floor sticking everything she can get her hands on into her mouth (yuck!). Her favorite things to do are swing on the swings (OH BOY does Charleigh love those swings), and take wagon rides with Skylar. Charleigh also LOVES the water (ocean, pool, or bath!).
At Charleigh's 9 month doctors appointment she was 18lbs, 8oz and 28 inches long and her head is predictably large at 45.5:)
