1st Day of School

And just like that...Skylar is a Preschooler! Excitement and anticipation for this day have been long coming.  We've been discussing preschool for weeks (which I'm sure feels like years to a toddler).  We had been rehearsing how Sky would get there, what she'd do etc, so to no surprise when it came time to go this morning, Sky said no Mommy "Daddy drops me off at school and Mommy and Charleigh pick me up, you stay home with Charleigh Mama"....(sigh).  But to be honest, it was for the best, after hearing the details from Dave, "Sky had a nervous smile, she was trying to hold it all together while she held onto my leg, then another Mom came over  and said "why don't you come over and play with Elise Skylar"  I would have lost it!  Dave himself admitted being a little misty eyed when he got into the car.
We're so proud of you Skylar, such a loving, independent little lady.  And now your journey begins, your first steps into  the "real world" away from Mommy and Daddy.  Be strong, we love you and look forward to guiding you along the way.
