Yes, it's true...the little lady is over a year and a half! She's growing like a weed, eats like a horse, throws tantrums like a fierce lion, is cute as a button, and steals our hearts like a bandit!
Charleigh is full of energy and personality, she needs constant attention, yet is super independent. She loves reading books and babies, any "real baby" or "fake baby doll" will do...but she does have a strong attachment to her "pink baby" which she sleeps with every night. Charleigh loves her big sister and has to have everything she has and do everything she does (bring on the bickering!). She is very good a defending herself against other toddlers by using a "hair pulling" tactic her mother is not particularly fond of. Charleigh is full of giggles and loves to play and "tickle". She fondly points out the features on her face when asked "nose", "head", etc. She finally refers to Mommy as "Mama" and Daddy as "Dada" on a regular basis, a few of her other favorite words are more, baby (of course), bike, up, "I do", and Merl, along with several animal sounds (too many to list here). Although her vocabulary is limited, she seems to understand most of what we're saying, which is nice. Charleigh also sings the sweetest "Twinkle Little Star".
At her 19 month check up, Charleigh weighed in at 24lbs, and 32.3 inches tall. Which puts her at the 60% for weight, and 50% for height. Her head growth seems to be slowing a bit, 18.9 inches, but still in the 80%.
We love our "spirited" Charleigh Rose.
